Starting mid-January you can have a dozen fresh specialty tulips every 2 weeks to carry you through the darkest days of winter.  Most specialty tulips are only found in the super fancy florist shops, and have been shipped in from overseas.  BUT, a Winter Tulip Subscription from Tulips and Sage means super fresh flowers because they are grown right here in Newtown, CT!  By keeping conditions just right and tricking mother nature a little, here at Tulips and Sage we hydroponically force tulips in the “Tulip Den”(my basement!). When you get them, they have likely been picked that day (and not spent any time on a plane!)
